Designer

We’re looking for a web designer who loves responsive and adaptive design principles and the technology behind them, understands system design, and enjoys a highly collaborative (okay, sometimes downright crazy) environment. You’ll work on designs for our very own web publishing platform, logos and other assets for our customers, and random fun stuff like coasters, t-shirts, and chalkboard drawings.

Required skills

  • User interface design experience. You can solve interaction problems by sketching, wireframing, and prototyping.
  • Strong visual design skills. You can make stuff beautiful. You have experience with traditional design but are more focused on website design. And you are a master of Photoshop, Illustrator, and PowerPoint. No wait... if you know PowerPoint really well, then you are not a good fit for this job.
  • Understand responsive and adaptive design methods. You know about fluid grids, flexible images, and media queries. When you design a website, you’re constantly thinking about how it will look on a mobile phone, tablet, and PC.
  • Front end development experience. You have working knowledge of HTML, CSS, Javascript, and jQuery. You can prototype solutions and possibly even implement design specifications.
  • Thrive in a startup environment. We are in the process of launching the first release of our product. So you should enjoy a fast paced environment, embrace the chaos, and be willing to help wherever needed.
